Gun lubrication maintenance

It is important to lubricate guns properly. This will reduce friction between moving parts. Lubrication reduces the coefficient of friction between moving metal-to-metal parts, providing smooth operation and reducing wear. Guns usually use one or two lubricants (oils or greases) recommended by the gun manufacturer.

This diagram shows the correct lubrication points for most handguns. Each point should be properly lubricated. Consult your firearm manufacturer for lubrication or cleaning.
